A New Chapter of Ionian Elegance

Opening in mid-2026, Conrad Corfu brings a fresh chapter to the southern coast of the island, where calm waters and soft landscapes meet contemporary comfort. The resort will feature 136 rooms, suites, and villas, along with a 200-metre beachfront, indoor and outdoor heated pools, the signature Aqua Piazza lagoon, landscaped gardens, three restaurants, two bars, a full-service wellness centre, a kids’ club, and an open-air cinema. The property will be managed by Numo Hotels & Resorts.

Set along a quiet stretch of coast, Conrad Corfu combines refined architecture with a sense of place that celebrates Corfu’s nature and heritage. Every detail — from open sea views to calm interiors — is designed to bring a slower rhythm to the experience. The Aqua Piazza sits at the centre of the resort as a peaceful space that connects the buildings with the shoreline. An hour’s drive away lies Corfu’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, while nearby olive groves, fishing harbours, and the Achilleion Palace recall the charm of the island’s southern coast.

Rooms start at 35 m², with several offering private heated pools, jacuzzis, or direct access to the Aqua Piazza. Guests can take part in guided walks, cooking sessions, and open-air film evenings, all designed to connect them with the island’s culture. Managed by Numo Hotels and owned by the Troulis family, Conrad Corfu extends the group’s presence in Greece following its successful projects in Crete and Mykonos. “Corfu marks our next chapter — a partnership of Greek talent and local insight shaping a distinctive resort that honours its setting,” says Spyros Kouris, Managing Director & Partner, Numo Hotels & Resorts.

Architecture with a Sense of Place

Originally built in 1986, the resort’s arched façade and U-shaped layout have been redesigned to open toward the sea while keeping the structure’s original rhythm. Guests enter through a limestone hall that also serves as a gallery for modern Greek art, leading into a glass-roofed atrium filled with light. From there, a marble walkway guides them through a colonnade down to the water.

The architecture and exteriors were developed by Cube Concept, with interiors by Hotel IM and Place in Space Architects. The centrepiece, the Aqua Piazza, connects the restaurants, pools, and terraces with the sea beyond. Inside the rooms and villas, warm tones of terracotta, stone, and soft greens create a calm atmosphere, complemented by handmade lighting and natural textures. The four-bedroom villa, spanning 280 m², offers complete privacy and a large outdoor terrace designed for quiet evenings by the water.

Restaurants and bars carry the same design language — marble, wood, and woven details echoing Corfiot craftsmanship. The spa, inspired by the geometry of ancient bathhouses, features travertine, handmade tiles, and natural fabrics, with a vitality pool, infrared sauna, snow shower, and treatments by ONAR and Swissline. The kids’ club, designed by Cube Concept in partnership with Worldwide Kids, takes shape as a miniature village surrounded by olive trees and eucalyptus, offering creative spaces for different age groups.

A Tribute to Greek Creativity

At the core of Conrad Corfu’s story is a collaboration with Greek artists, designers, and culinary experts. The main fine-dining restaurant will feature a menu by Michelin-starred chef Alexandros Tsiotinis (CTC, Athens), combining Greek ingredients with a modern approach. Other dining venues include an all-day restaurant inspired by local recipes, a seaside restaurant, and two bars — one at the beach and one indoors — offering a thoughtful selection of Mediterranean wines.

Art plays a central role in the experience. Curated by Nikos Paleologos (Saint of Athens), the “Anasynthesis” project features commissioned works by leading Greek artists such as Kostis Velonis, H.O.P.E., Grigoris Kouskouris, Gerasimos Hatzis, Fikos, and Fillippos Theodoridis, creating a dialogue between tradition and contemporary culture.

Fashion and design extend to uniforms, poolside textiles, and furniture, developed in collaboration with designer Sophie Deloudi. The wellness programme includes yoga, Pilates, and TRX, both indoors and outdoors, while spa rituals draw inspiration from local botanicals. Guests can also take part in small-group walks, cooking workshops, and gallery visits, connecting them with Corfu’s everyday life.
