The revolutionary highlight of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller lies deep inside, in the calibre 7135 movement – a mechanical masterpiece painstakingly researched, developed and crafted entirely in-house by Rolex’s talented team of engineers.
This self-winding mechanical movement is not just a timepiece, but a collection of groundbreaking innovations, protected by a total of 16 exclusive patents. Among them, the most notable is the Dynapulse escapement – a revolutionary replacement for the centuries-old Swiss lever escapement.
With its friction-reducing rolling motion-based power transmission, components crafted from ultra-light silicon and exceptional resistance to magnetic fields, the Dynapulse escapement delivers unprecedented energy efficiency and incredible Chronometric precision to the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller.
To ensure its durability in harsh environments, the calibre 7135 oscillator is designed to be highly resistant to magnetic fields thanks to the special materials used in its components. The balance wheel is meticulously crafted from optimized brass, combined with a balance shaft made from a material that requires complex machining techniques.
The balance beam, a Rolex patented innovation, is made from a new high-tech ceramic and is laser-engraved – a first for the brand. The optimized Paraflex shock absorbers, located at both ends of the balance shaft, maximize the movement’s resistance to shocks in all positions and under all conditions of use.
The perfect combination of the innovative Syloxi hairspring made of silicon allows the oscillator to operate at a steady frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, equivalent to 5 Hz. This high frequency not only ensures precise timekeeping down to the tenth of a second, but also allows the wearer to move his wrist freely and engage in any activity while maintaining Chronometric precision. Although higher operating frequencies typically require more energy, the calibre 7135 still ensures a comfortable power reserve of approximately 66 hours thanks to the outstanding performance of the Dynapulse escapement.

The watch dial makes a strong impression with its unique honeycomb pattern, a detail deeply inspired by the magical beauty of nature, promising to bring a timeless beauty that will not go out of style with the flow of time.
To meet the diverse tastes and styles of connoisseurs, the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller is introduced in two ideal sizes: 36mm and 40mm. In addition, the collection also offers many versions crafted from precious materials such as white Rolesor (a combination of Oystersteel and white gold), solid 18ct Everose rose gold and high-quality 950 platinum.
The new bracelet design seems to melt and blend seamlessly into the case, creating a seamless and striking visual effect – this is the core of the unique design concept of this model. Meticulously and subtly redesigned, the distinctive lines of the Oyster case have been skillfully translated into the shape of a completely new flat Jubilee bracelet.
The overall elegance and grace of the watch is subtly enhanced by the harmonious contrast between the different finishes – from the technical matte finish to the meticulously polished details. In particular, the polished bevels along the upper edges of both the bracelet and the case cleverly catch the light, creating an attractive shimmering reflection.
The Land-Dweller’s unique character is fully revealed by a close look at the exquisite details of the dial. Surrounded by a strongly angled bezel, the dial features a refined geometric pattern in the form of a meticulously embossed honeycomb pattern. On versions equipped with Chromalight display technology, the openworked Arabic numerals and hour markers are coated with a new generation of luminescent material, ensuring optimal legibility in all lighting conditions. The hands are also coated with luminescent material and are exclusive to this model.
