Beyond Time: The Infinity, Terraluxe, and Sonar by Lonard

On March 21, Lonard proudly unveiled the Infinity, Terraluxe, and Sonar watch models at an exclusive event in Milan. With a stunning view of Milan’s cityscape and a crowd of watchmakers, jewellers, stylists, journalists, and tastemakers, the event was a huge success and honoured craftsmanship, design, and classic style.

The event was a truly immersive experience, demonstrating that a watch is a life partner in addition to a timepiece. Along with the brand’s iconic Lap01 and Dressy Models, which pay homage to the tradition and innovation that characterize Lonard’s vision, attendees learned about the intricate and sophisticated creativity that goes into the brand’s most recent creations.

The Essence of Italian Expertise

The brand’s strong ties to Sardinian and Italian ancestry were disclosed by Lonard’s co-founder, Mauro Gilardi, during the presentation. They also expressed strong family values and put their hearts and souls into every piece they manufacture. He added that each piece captures the essence of Sardinia, the Italian character, and the emotion that goes into each creation, not to mention that their watches are more than just tools—they are stories waiting to be told.

Lap01 and Dressy Blue by Lonard

The company was first established in Sardinia by two brothers-in-law who aimed to make classic, sophisticated timepieces that prioritized elegance and craftsmanship. Each Lonard piece blends exact Italian refinement and design with Swiss or Japanese mechanical movements, all fueled by a love of craftsmanship and Italian family traditions.

The Sardinian Pintadera case back of this watch is carved to symbolize its cultural heritage. The sunset and eclipse colourways, which reflect two distinct types of adventurers—the energetic explorer and the nocturnal wanderer—were intended for the modern traveller. Additionally, this watch honours movement as both mechanical and personal.

This watch was inspired by the heyday of diving watches from the 1970s and combines modern performance with nostalgic charm. Its powerful build includes high-visibility elements and fierce lines. It can shift from the ocean’s depths to the streets of the city with ease.

”Inspired by Italy’s appreciation for life’s finer moments—leisurely lunches, aperitivi with friends, or a perfect espresso—Lonard watches are designed to mark special milestones and foster meaningful connections”
