On Saturday, April 30, Dior has held its Fall 2022 fashion show at Ewha Womans University. This first défilé in the Republic of Korea was born of the House’s wish to highlight its creativity in the uniquely dynamic capital of Seoul.
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s collection symbolizes true visual poetry, as it is a real conversation between the legacy of Dior and the ever-changing constellation that is the contemporary world. Consisting of pleated skirts mixed with black and white kilts, the collection skillfully combines with jackets inspired by men’s suiting that reimagine the iconic Bar jacket.
Also present are men’s coats and ultrashort skirts, biker shorts paired with white blouses and black ties, 3D-embroidered knitwear, and a captivating video game-like pixelated zodiac.
The cherry on top is the series of evening gowns, specifically designed for the show, where the volumes of iconic silhouettes, such as the Juno, are revisited. They are uniquely reinvented through irresistibly bold asymmetrical cuts.
The result is a line whose looks more than ever evoke inspiring, strong concepts such as commitment, communion, and sharing.
