Free Events and Gadgets: Your Guide to Milan Design Week 2025

Freeloading becomes a collective experience: all the events and pop-ups of the Milan Design Week with free gadgets, food and beauty. A detailed guide.

Fuorisalone 2025, the hunt for free gadgets conquers Milan

From 7 to 13 April 2025 , Milan returns to being the nerve centre of international design . But alongside immersive installations, signature exhibitions and visionary projects, a new urban ritual is forcefully imposing itself: the race for free gadgets . Thanks to the Instagram profile Milano da Scrocco , this year’s Fuorisalone is more pop, viral and – let’s face it – shamelessly strategic. The watchword is one: Scrocco . Without embarrassment. Because here the experience economy is intertwined with the pleasure of giving, transforming the Design Week into a multi-stage itinerary made of tote bags, exclusive samples, tech gadgets and content to share .

Milano a Scrocco, the cult guide for Fuorisalone 2025

Born in 2018 from an idea by Alessio Ferrantino and Giada Lanzotti, Milano da Scrocco is today a true beacon for those who want to explore the city without having to open their wallets. During Milan Design Week 2025 , the account became a real-time map of the best hotspots where you can find branded gifts, interactive pop-ups and temporary gift points . Among the most sought-after stops? The now cult Etro stool , available by visiting the 5 THREADS, 40 YEARS exhibition in via Pontaccio: a collector’s piece in Arnica that celebrates the brand’s 40th anniversary. A short distance away, Guess offers a tote bag , a mini perfume and an Experience Ticket to be redeemed in the flagship stores scattered around the city.

Unexpected micro-luxuries, gadgets also from newsstands

Off the official circuits, even newsstands become essential stops for true “gadget hunters”. The Loro Piana newsstand distributes gourmet popcorn, Ferragamo gives away mini “Fiamma” perfumes and Byredo offers bag samples: free little luxuries for an informed and strategic public . There is also space for food and beauty: Kinder Design Studio offers a playful experience with free chocolates, while Maybelline opens the doors of its Maybeland , a beauty park with free beauty kits and cosmetics .
