Through the Looking Glass by Bundy

A game of surrealism and fantasy.

Apart from the professional hairdresser’s daily routine, the creative heads of Bundy particularly enjoy being able to live out their artistic, avant-garde streak, push the limits of their imagination, and give free rein to their inventive spirit. Gerhard Kopfer, creative director at Bundy, and the artistic team (Julia Lukas, Patrick Kiszner), however, take exactly this freedom to once again look beyond the limits of logic and reason and take us on a fantastic journey.

Inspired by “Through the looking glass. aka: Alice behind the mirrors”- sequel to the worldwide hit novel “Alice in Wonderland”, the Bundy artistic team puts the observer’s perception to the test. Playfully and skilfully, passionate hair professionals create a surreal facade that invites you to explore your own thoughts. A particularly welcome change, considering how intensively we are inundated by news, reports, and headlines these days.

Often we reach the limits of credibility and sanity so that we have to ask ourselves what is a dream and what is reality. Is perception trustworthy in its complexity and multiplicity, or have we forgotten to trust pure, honest, and childlike instinct?

“In order not to reach the limits of logic, we also have to set the point of view differently for once. This requires not only the ability to combine but also a more sensitive perception. Logic is turned upside down, time and space become blurred and the intelligent game of fantasy and surrealism can begin!” – Gerhard Kopfer about the motivation to look beyond the limits of the standardized.
