What questions should one ask themselves before considering aesthetic procedures?

In essence, there is only one key question: “Is this truly my desire?”
First and foremost, any decision to alter your appearance should come from within—it must be your personal choice, not influenced by glossy magazines, social media, or external pressure from others. You should never undergo aesthetic procedures to please someone else—whether it’s a partner, society, or people who criticize your appearance. Instead, if you find yourself in an environment where others dictate how you should look, perhaps it’s time to change that environment instead.

Can plastic surgery impact one’s quality of life?

Absolutely. Throughout my extensive career, I have witnessed countless examples of how plastic surgery can transform lives. However, it is crucial to remember that these changes can go in either direction—positive or negative. The outcome of any procedure depends on two main factors: the skill and expertise of the surgeon; the quality of the post-surgical recovery process. Choosing the right surgeon is paramount. This is a decision that rests solely on your shoulders, and the results of this choice will define your experience. A successful procedure can bring confidence and happiness, but a poorly executed one can led to disappointment, emotional distress, and the search for another surgeon to correct the damage. Always keep this in mind when making your decision.

Have you witnessed transformations in your patients’ lives following aesthetic procedures?

Having dedicated 22 years to aesthetic medicine, I have seen countless life-changing stories. I truly believe that high-quality plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments are one of the greatest advancements of our time. They offer people the chance to eliminate physical imperfections, overcome insecurities, and embrace self-love. When a person feels confident and, most importantly, loves the way they look, they become unstoppable—there are no limits to what they can achieve. Let me give you an example. Imagine a highly talented journalist who dreamed of becoming a TV host. Despite her skills and professionalism, she was constantly rejected because her large nose was considered unappealing on screen. Now, imagine the same woman after undergoing rhinoplasty—she transformed into a stunning, confident version of herself. It’s no surprise that her career skyrocketed afterward. Stories like this are common in my practice—stories of empowerment, self-acceptance, and personal success. Seeing these transformations and the happiness they bring is what makes my work so fulfilling.

What are the latest trends in plastic surgery?

The number one trend today is natural beauty. We are moving away from standardized, artificial appearances and shifting toward preserving individuality. Over-exaggerated and excessive changes are fading into the past—and I sincerely hope they never make a comeback.

How has male plastic surgery evolved in recent years?

Significant changes have taken place in this field over the past few years. The number of men seeking aesthetic procedures is increasing every single day. More and more men now recognize the value of maintaining a well-groomed and youthful appearance, and this is becoming widely accepted as normal.

At what age do men typically seek aesthetic procedures, and what are their most common concerns?

Rather than focusing on age, I believe the patient’s individual needs should be the primary consideration. Here are the Top 3 most requested procedures among male patients: blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty (both aesthetic and functional procedures), hair transplantation. Additionally, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and anti-aging procedures are becoming increasingly popular among men.

What principles guide you in your work?

First and foremost, a deep love for people and a genuine desire to help them become the best version of themselves. I hold a great responsibility—I act as the bridge between the patient and the plastic surgeon. I am the one who takes responsibility for the outcome, as I carefully select the right specialist to address each patient’s specific concerns. To do this, I must have an in-depth knowledge of the plastic surgery industry, understanding both the strengths and weaknesses of every surgeon and aesthetic specialist. My primary focus is always the patient’s best interests, and I only work with the finest professionals. My relationships with my patients are built on honesty and transparency. I have earned an impeccable reputation and the trust of my clients, which I deeply value. My goal is never just to achieve a “good” result—I strive for the best possible outcome. It’s not enough for me that a patient is simply satisfied with our work; I want to see them truly happy.

In what situations does plastic surgery fail to solve the problem?

There are specific cases where plastic surgery is not the right solution, and in such situations, an ethical surgeon should refuse to operate. These include psychological concerns – if a patient struggles with body dysmorphia or mental health disorders, surgery will not solve these problems. Psychological support should be prioritized instead. Unclear expectations – If a person does not know exactly what they want, no surgical outcome will ever fully satisfy them. External pressure – if a patient is undergoing surgery due to social expectations, peer pressure, or to please someone else, the procedure should not be performed. A responsible specialist ensures that patients make informed, autonomous decisions, free from external influence or emotional distress.

Are there age restrictions in plastic surgery?

Rather than strict age limitations, the key factor is a patient’s health status. Every surgical procedure carries risks, and eligibility should be based on overall physical health; medical history; the body’s ability to heal and recover. Each patient should be individually assessed to determine if they are suitable candidate for surgery.

What defines high-quality plastic surgery?

That’s a great question, thank you! A well-executed plastic surgery should provide a flawless, natural, and aesthetic result while preserving a person’s individuality. No one should be able to see any signs of surgical intervention. Unfortunately, people often notice only the poorly executed cases, which reveal themselves through artificiality, uniformity, excessive alterations, and sometimes even extreme or unnatural results. True excellence in plastic surgery is when people look at a woman with admiration and say, “She is stunning, so natural—she must have amazing genetics!” without ever suspecting she has had work done. That is what I consider successful plastic surgery.

Can aesthetic medicine be an alternative to plastic surgery?

Absolutely not. Plastic surgery is a radical and permanent solution, while aesthetic medicine primarily serves to enhance and maintain beauty. However, these two fields are closely connected and complement each other. Some concerns can only be resolved with surgery, while others fall within the domain of non-invasive aesthetic treatments. For example, plastic surgery does not improve skin quality, texture, or pigmentation—these are the responsibilities of aesthetic medicine. Aesthetic medicine cannot replace structural procedures such as rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, hair transplantation, or facelifts. Both disciplines have their place, and the best results often come from combining them strategically.

If you could only keep one product in your skincare routine, what would it be?

Without a doubt—SPF. Regardless of the season or weather conditions, SPF helps prevent premature aging, reduces pigmentation risks, and protects against various dermatological issues. Additionally, a high-quality sunscreen is crucial for maintaining youthful skin, especially if you use anti-aging treatments. It serves as an essential barrier, preserving the results of aesthetic procedures and skincare routines.

What habits help you maintain your ideal shape and beauty?

First and foremost—discipline. Regular physical activity – I go to the gym four times a week and love outdoor running. Balanced and healthy nutrition – I drink plenty of clean water throughout the day. No harmful substances – I completely avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, and sugary carbonated drinks. Quality sleep – Sleep is the foundation of beauty. I go to bed by 10 PM and wake up at 5:30 AM.

Nutritional supplementation – I regularly take vitamins and minerals prescribed by my doctor based on test results to maintain optimal health. Mental well-being – Taking care of emotional balance, focusing on positive emotions, practicing gratitude, and spreading kindness and empathy are just as essential as physical self-care. True beauty is a reflection of both physical and emotional health.

What are your five personal recommendations for youthful, radiant skin?

Prioritize quality sleep – the body regenerates most effectively during deep sleep. Eat a balanced diet – nutrition directly impacts skin health and elasticity. Follow a personalized skincare routine – use products suitable for your skin type and age. Regular professional skincare treatments – as you age, visits to aesthetic specialists become crucial for maintaining skin health. Never go to bed with makeup on – proper cleansing is a non-negotiable step in skincare.

Can you tell us about the projects you are currently working on?

For nearly 17 years, I have been leading a charity project dedicated to helping children born with nasal deformities. We organize free reconstructive surgeries, allowing these children to regain confidence and live a full, happy life. Given the current war in my country, our team has extended its efforts to help injured soldiers who have suffered facial trauma. Through reconstructive procedures, we help restore their features and dignity. Additionally, I am in the final stages of launching a deeply personal and long-anticipated project aimed at supporting women.
This initiative is designed to assist women who have experienced: domestic violence; severe illnesses (such as cancer), other life-altering conditions that have affected their appearance and self-esteem. For this project, we have gathered an exceptional team of top plastic surgeons, aesthetic specialists, psychologists, rehabilitation experts. Together, we will help these women reclaim their beauty, confidence, and self-worth, giving them a new beginning and, hopefully, a happy and empowered future. This project is about more than aesthetics—it is about restoring dignity, self-love, and hope.
