Fashion blogger Polina Erofeeva opened the door to the holy of holies of every fashionista to her wardrobe, and shared with L’Officiel Monaco secrets of shopping and favourite pieces.
What inspires your personal style?
I usually get inspiration from the Fashion Weeks. You can find the biggest concentration of fashionable people there: bloggers, celebrities, influencers, street stylers and runway outfits. Some of their outfits are just stylish, but some of them are so flamboyant that they look like a piece of art which you want to examine thoroughly.
Also I like to work with a stylist, as it helps me find the direction in my style. Before going to sleep I will scroll through Pinterest and some fashion bloggers’ accounts to get inspired and add some new creative ideas to my outfits.
Where do you usually buy your clothes: boutiques or shopping websites?
I combine two kinds of shopping. It’s much better to go to the boutique where you can touch the cloth, try on the item to see whether it fits or suits you and to make a decision to buy it on the spot. As for online shopping, it saves my time a lot, but I also always bear in mind that the item can be of a wrong size. In such situations I realy on my intuition and try to concentrate on the design of the item. My intuition works right in 75 % of cases.
What is your favourite trend of this summer?
Total denim! It’s easy to wear, comfortable and so stylish.
What piece of clothing or accessory is a must have in your wardrobe?
I’m a big lover of accessories! I have plenty of earrings, chains, necklaces and bracelets. They go with all my outfits including ordinary white T-shirts and Fashion show outfits. When you have no time and mood for dressing up, you can embellish any outfit with accessories and it always will look eye-catching.
Which fashion brand is your favourite and why?
It’s impossible to single out only one brand as the collections always change and they can be successful or unsuccessful. Each brand has items which I consider to be iconic for me. For example, I’m a big fan of Hermès bags, Céline jeans and Saint Laurent shoes. Sometimes I like saucy clothing and in
this case I prefer Mugler.
