Interview with DJ Kim Lee

Los Angeles native Kim Lee has become one of the most sought after DJ and producer in the business. Kim graduated from Scratch Academy in Los Angeles. With the support and encouragement from Apl De Ap from The Black Eyed Peas, Kim quickly started touring the world from the U.S to Asia and became one of the industry’s biggest DJs.

She has toured and done shows with Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Diplo, and Skrillex. Kim also performed along with Cardi B, YG, and Tyga at Fashion Nova Event, 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Anastasia Beverly Hills Halloween Party, Budweiser, Johnny Walker, Hennessy, Ultra Japan, Ultra China, Ultra Korea, Life in Color Korea, Mad Decent Boat Party, It’s The Ship, EDC New York, Drai’s in Las Vegas, Marquee Vegas, Tao Las Vegas, Eleven in Miami, and Pacha NYC. Kim is now a resident at the world-famous Wynn Nightlife, performing both at Encore Beach Club and XS.

First things first: we LOVE Bling Empire! Can you give us a sneak peek into what’s to come?

Thank you! Season 2 just aired, and this season was dramatic and had lots of shocking surprises that left the fans asking where is season 3? We shot so much, and there’s a lot more coming very soon that will all make sense. 

 

Who is your favourite co-star on Bling Empire, and why?

I really enjoy shooting with all of the cast. Everyone has a unique personality. I would say Kane Lim is a lot of fun to work with. He’s fast on his feet and very witty.

 

You are a very successful DJ. Is there a particular place or festival you have always dreamed of headlining at?

My dream has come true. Being a resident DJ at the Wynn in Las Vegas is almost every DJ’s dream. The atmosphere there is just next level. 

Tell us a little about your other business ventures, aside from DJing and Bling Empire.

Even though djing and tv have been my main priority. I have invested in a few businesses. I’m also taking boxing and acting classes on my days off. 

 

Who are your favourite designers and why?

I love Saint Laurent, Balmain and Chanel. Saint Laurent is simple, young and elegant.
