- Can you tell us about your journey into the world of modeling? What inspired you to pursue a career in modeling alongside your studies?
My journey into modeling started quite unexpectedly, just after I had begun my studies. Initially, it was just a fun way to explore my love for fashion, but as I delved deeper, I realized how much I enjoyed the creativity and expression that modeling offered, a part of life I had not previously experienced before. Pursuing a career in modeling alongside my studies in hospitality at EHL Lausanne allows me to blend my passion for fashion with my interest in business and people, giving me a unique perspective on both industries. I would say that the two fields complement eachother well, and I would not be the person I am today without embracing and blending these two parts of my life. I often joke to my friends that I live a ‘double life’, one of glamour and fashion, and one of hard work, studies, and a desire to pursue a typical, challenging career. However I wouldn’t want to live my life any other way, as I truly believe it balances me out as a person. I feel lucky to be living the best of both worlds. I believe life is short and we should not be scared to experience every passion, interest or dream to the fullest.
- Balancing academic commitments with a career in modeling can be challenging. How do you manage your time effectively between your studies at EHL Lausanne and your modeling assignments?
Time management is crucial, and I’ve developed a structured routine to balance both my academic and modeling commitments. I prioritize my tasks, set clear goals for each day, and make sure to maintain a healthy lifestyle with adequate rest and nutrition. It is difficult to maintain a good routine when I am required to travel often, but my professors at EHL Lausanne have been incredibly supportive, offering flexibility and understanding. Technology also plays a significant role; I am able to learn remotely thanks to the incredible online tools available to us students, and I believe anybody can learn anything, anywhere, as long as they have access to a laptop.
- As a young model, what are your aspirations for the future? Do you see yourself continuing in the modeling industry long-term, or do you have other career goals in mind?
While I deeply enjoy modeling and the opportunities it brings, I also have a passion for business and want to see myself reaching further into my potential. I feel modeling has a certain ceiling, or lifetime, where you can only go so far and once you reach it, you should find your own path or interest and develop this further.
In the future, I envision myself merging these two worlds. I am deeply interested in luxury brand management, particularly with an affinity for design and wellness, and would love one day to open my own luxury wellness clinic. I believe that the skills and experiences I gain from both modeling and my studies will equip me to create this unique future for myself.
- Many young people look up to role models for inspiration. Who is your role model, either within the modeling industry or beyond, and why?
While I don’t like to obsess over celebrities, I would have to say my role model is Victoria Beckham. She is an incredible example of how beauty, success, and empowerment coexist. Victoria empowers women by showing that they can be powerful, stylish, and successful. Her journey demonstrates that with hard work and resilience, you can reinvent yourself and achieve greatness. What I admire most is her ability to balance her demanding career with her family life. She is a mother and wife, and has maintained a strong, loving family while running a global fashion empire. This balance is something I aspire to in my own life.
- How do you think your experience as a student at EHL Lausanne has influenced your approach to modeling and your perspective on the fashion industry?
Studying at EHL Lausanne has given me a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly the importance of customer experience and brand management. This knowledge has been invaluable in modeling, where creating a memorable and engaging presence is key. Additionally, the diverse and international environment at EHL has broadened my perspective, helping me appreciate different cultural influences in fashion and modeling.
- What are some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned so far in your journey as a model? How have these experiences shaped your personal and professional growth?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the value of resilience and self-belief. The modeling industry can be highly competitive and sometimes challenging, but these experiences have taught me to stay true to myself and remain confident in my abilities. I’ve also learned the importance of networking and building genuine relationships within the industry. These lessons have not only shaped my professional growth but also contributed to my personal development by making me more adaptable and confident.
- What advice would you give to other young individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in modeling while also juggling other commitments, such as education or other passions?
My advice would be to stay organized and focused on your goals. It’s essential to prioritize your commitments and not be afraid to ask for support from mentors, family, and friends. I advise you to think carefully about curating long term, sustainable goals which you truly want to follow, because you only live this life for yourself, so make sure you really know what it is you want. Also, never underestimate the importance of self-care; maintaining a healthy lifestyle is key to managing stress and staying at your best. Lastly, always believe in yourself and your unique journey—embrace the challenges as learning opportunities and stay passionate about your pursuits.
- How do you stay confident and positive in the competitive world of modeling?
Confidence and positivity come from a strong sense of self-awareness and takes time to build. I remind myself of my achievements and the progress I’ve made, which helps boost my confidence. I also find it very important to surround myself with positive and encouraging woman, who inspire me and don’t want to bring me down. Also, I am careful how I spend my time, and focus on engaging myself in activities that promote high energy and which I genuinely love, such as dancing, horse riding, art, and sports.
