Virgin Izakaya is a well-established Japanese and Pan-asian restaurant and bar delighted to announce that it will open its first outpost in the Middle East, in March 2022.

Virgin Izakaya is an izakaya-style restaurant and bar that specializes in traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine and will be situated on Bluewaters Island, Dubai, bringing the Virgin Izakaya experience to the UAE for the first time.

At Virgin Izakaya authentic elements are given a fresh look when combined with creative techniques; not just on the menu, but throughout the concept as a whole. The traditional robata grill is at the heart of the restaurant giving center stage to the chefs creating dishes. Here, guests will experience the art of watching all their dining desires brought to life right in front of them with menu highlights that include raw sashimi, delicious kushiyaki and robata specialties.

In Japanese culture, ‘izakaya’ means sharing a variety of small dishes and snacks, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Virgin Izakaya. The unique culinary concept focuses on everyone at the table sampling everything, encouraging you to try something that you might not normally opt for, and the experience is completed with a discussion on the delicious food.

As well as a spacious, yet intimate restaurant area, Virgin Izakaya will boast a large bar serving up a curated selection of wines, spirits, first-class cocktails, and rare types of authentic Japanese sake.

The exquisite venue will be set over two floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly capturing sea views out across to Dubai’s JBR.
