Moncler, Mercedes-Benz and NIGO presented their “Past II Future” collaboration in New York – a unique launch event that combined vintage style with futuristic design.
New York, April 4, 2025 – Last night, the new Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by NIGO collaboration and the co-designed G-Class “Past II Future” model were unveiled in New York. The event brought together the city’s creative minds and celebrated the power of design, collaboration, and vision.
The venue was the newly opened flagship showroom of Mercedes-Benz Manhattan, where brand friends such as Alton Mason, Chloe Wise, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Joey Badass, KAWS, Miles Chamley-Watson, Peyton List, Quil Lemons and Tobe & Fat Nwigwe were in attendance.
Upon entering, guests were led through a darkened photo elevator – designed as a time portal – into a gallery of vintage vehicles. They then proceeded to the futuristically redesigned showroom, which transformed into an extraordinary dining room. Open car trunks served as a bar, serving automotive-inspired cuisine from New York celebrity chef Nami Nori and innovative desserts from Eunjin Lee.
The table setting reflected details of the new G-Class design: metallic body surfaces, golden vases shaped like fuel cans, down elements, and check patterns from the vehicle’s interior. As a special highlight, staff dressed as mechanics served desserts directly from sparkling toolboxes.
The event was a perfect staging of past and future — a space in which the G-Class “Past II Future” took center stage, along with the signatures of Moncler, Mercedes-Benz, and NIGO.
