Designer Miguelina Gambaccini set on a journey to create optimistic, free-spirited designs that reflect her passion for world travel and sustainability.
Made for jet-set adventures, endless vacations, and global nomads, the Dominican born designer Miguelina Gambaccini founded the brand in 1998 with her first ever honeymoon collection. Inspired by her passion for world travel but frustrated by the lack of pretty and packable brands available to take on her own journey and travels, she found a solution and launched a namesake collection. The brand’s mission fused Miguelina’s Bohemian, free-spirited aesthetic with a nomadic sensibility.
Today, Miguelina’s signature pieces consist of bohemian-luxe dresses, caftans, pants, and jumpsuits, all being synonymous with jet-set chic style. The brand’s exclusive laces are designed and developed in-house and offer a level of intricacy that’s covered around the globe.
Apart from exquisite designs, attention to detail and the convergence of elegance and luxury offered to anyone wearing Minguelina’s pieces, Miguelina’s passion and connection to nature as an avid traveler and nature lover, inspired her to grow and ensure the sustainability of her label. At the core of Miguelina production lies sustainability, timelessness, and quality.
Being committed to mindful sourcing and sustainability, in 2015 she led a collaboration with the world’s largest ocean charity, Oceana, in order to bring awareness to the importance of conservation. Additionally, she regularly works with weavers and artisans across the globe to create one-of-a-kind unique pieces that support local and small communities. She leads various collaborations with non-profit women’s led innovatives and corporations that employ artisans with several years of experience alongside skills and knowledge that is being passed down from generation to generation.
The corporations are led all around the world, to create classic, high quality and timeless pieces that are meticulously crafted and can be worn forever, by adventurers and free-spirited women, which at the same time support local community and the sustainable lifestyle of the typical Miguelina girl.
