On January 10, 2024, Tod’s and Automobili Lamborghini debuted their inaugural footwear collection in Florence.
The inaugural collaboration commemorates craftsmanship and innovation, values that distinguish both companies as leaders in their respective domains. The project commences with a footwear collection for both men and women, featuring two models: the renowned Tod’s Gommino and a sneaker, available in vibrant yellow, green, and blue hues.
The Gommino showcases a novel design inspired by the aesthetics of Lamborghini’s high-performance sports cars. The tubular band detailing enhances its aerodynamic appeal, instilling a sense of movement and elegance. The soles boast larger, distinct rubber pebbles that match the color of either the heel or the upper part of the shoe. The leather utilized is sourced from top-notch tanneries, and the production process demands a high level of craftsmanship, with hand-executed tasks such as leather cutting and visible stitching.
The iconic Stazione Leopolda in Florence served as the selected venue for the launch event amid Pitti Uomo, a pivotal occasion in men’s fashion. The focal points of the installation during the event were the Tod’s for Automobili Lamborghini collection and the Lamborghini Revuelto.
