The Elie Saab Ready-To-Wear FW23/24 collection, which is overflowed with vibrant blossoms in dazzling celebrations of life and luminosity, is motivated by the magnificent bouquets of the Renaissance. This collection represents woman just like an untamed flower which is dazzling and strong. WIth it, her bold feminine essence and courageous spirit come to life.
A Floral Renaissance collection is an embodied expression of magnificence and light, and every painted blossom is a celebration of the ELIE SAAB woman’s perpetual grace.
Many adaptations of romantic floral themes in moody tones and rich textures bring the brightness of the modern back to more conventional expressions. Tailored silhouettes are given contrast, depth, and dramatic movement by muted, dark designs in shades of Deep Ruby and Midnight Forest with brilliant, dazzling strokes of Citrine. Moonflower white cotton blouses and flared pants are embroidered in a single color with traces of hydrangeas in bloom. Black halter dresses with large flowers in macramé weave are whimsical transparencies. Delicate translucent lace lovingly vines across coats, skirts, and jackets in the same fanciful way. Rich puffer coats with floral bouquet prints and black with wispy feather accents provide a playful contrast to more elegant lines.
The ELIE SAAB woman is carried through the day and into the evening by the overthrows, where she illuminates the gloomier hours. Glistening sequins and tulle are bursting with intricate 3-D flowers that move over halter necklines and down translucent mermaid dresses. Plush velvet and supple crepe V-neck dresses and strapless gowns with exquisite bead embroidery and illuminations have a delicate crystal shimmer. A subtle veneer of composure and majesty is added by fine silk hooded capes. Strong New Red and Citrine taffeta flare out and drape across the waistlines of short cocktail dresses and jumpsuits as well as into flouncy gowns with ornate shoulder lines. Short wool jackets with embellishments are delicately enhanced by soft felt fedoras that Italian master hatmaker Borsalino painstakingly made.
