Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the marvelous and iconic street for luxury shopping in the French capital, glows brighter than ever. Not only is it a fashion paradise for an afternoon shopping spree, but now it is also an enchanting location to gaze at the boutiques’ façades adorned with Christmas lights.
Paris during this Christmas time truly pays tribute to its epithet as the ‘City of Lights’. From Champs-Élysées to Galeries Lafayette to Avenue Montaigne, the main Parisian spots are now illuminated to provide locals and visitors with the most magical wintertime experience.
Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in particular, which is one of Paris’ most renowned streets, has been gathering more visitors in December thanks to the wonderful Christmas installations displayed in the famous boutiques.
Hermès, for example, has adorned the façade of its building with neon-inspired lights in the shape of Christmas figures and the word “Nol,” which translates from French to “Christmas.”

Located in front of Rue Saint-Honoré, specifically in 19 Rue Cambon, is where Chanel’s most cherished store is found. This boutique has been beautifully adorned with gold and silver lights in the shape of Christmas balls and ornaments. But the most special and eye-catching decoration is a black, stylish bow with the maison’s logo on it.

Right in front of Chanel’s boutique is Burberry’s store. This place has a simpler yet magical décor. The façade has been covered with a navy-blue cloth where stardust-like figures are being displayed. They twinkle and vary from time to time.

Dior has a reputation for going big when it comes to Christmas installations in Paris, and this year is no exception. The boutique at Rue Saint-Honoré is beautifully decorated with a giant star, similar to a compass star, that has a world map in the middle. The figure has an upper label with the phrase “Déploie tes ailes et rêve d’infini” (which translates to ‘Spread your wings and dream of infinity’) written on it and is accompanied by sailboats on the sides.

As usual, the popular hot air balloon, located in Rue Saint-Honoré, can be found at the same spot decorated with Christmas lights. Also, other iconic places near the area, like Le Village Royal or Place Vendôme, are lit up by lovely Christmas lights to brighten up this season’s spirit more than ever.
