A sun at its peak. The intense heat of summer. A stunning beachfront. Georg Lux, the creative head of LEONARD House, draws inspiration from the alluring and passionate ambiance of the Côte d’Azur, reminiscent of the French film “La piscine” directed by Jacques Deray.
The protagonist Georg Lux envisions is a liberated young woman in a fleeting dress, unbound by norms. She has a laid-back take on fashion trends, effortlessly moving under the shadows of the umbrella pines, near a pristine villa atop Saint-Tropez. From dawn, when sunlight grazes the landscape, to noon’s powerful beams, and finally to dusk, with its radiant golden tones, the homes, with their organic, contemporary designs, provide a backdrop to this timeless collection.
“I’m inspired by Jacques Couëlle’s designs,” says Georg Lux. Renowned as “the architect of the billionaires”, Couëlle crafted his “landscape houses” to harmoniously merge with their surroundings. Similarly, the ethereal outfits from the Spring-Summer 2024 line seamlessly blend with the languor of a blistering summer.
The alluring white suit jacket that kicks off the show is worn close to the body, just as Bianca Jagger did on her wedding day with Mick. Naturally, the house’s distinctive floral patterns make an appearance as well, embodying the pure essence of living with delight. In addition to these timeless pieces, LEONARD’s style exhibits its ability to reinvent itself: flowing and wide-legged trousers, loosely styled and poetic blouses, ponchos, slingbacks, and a newly iconic bag are all abundant in the new creations. It’s the perfect ensemble for immersing oneself in happiness and basking in the Mediterranean sun.
