Your AI-generated artwork has been showcased in cities like New York, Santiago, and Milan. Can you share the story behind one of your pieces and how you think AI has transformed your artistic vision?

I was genuinely thrilled to have my work showcased in all three cities, but one experience that stands out for me was participating in City Lab Global’s exhibition, entitled Artificial V.2- Festival of Artificial Intelligence and Creativity. City Lab is a brilliant non-profit organization that curates thought-provoking events throughout the year, and I was honored when they approached me to be part of this one. I had the opportunity to display seven pieces, with one; a portrait of two children illuminated by striking neon orange light selected as the showcase piece. Sharing space with such talented AI creators from around the world was an absolute privilege. And, of course, I can now proudly tick off Chile on my gallery list, something I’m incredibly grateful for!

What excites me most about AI is how it allows me to build layers of complexity and creativity unrestricted by the usual physical limitations of photography. It’s completely shifted how I approach visual storytelling. No longer bound by time, location, or resources, I have this infinite canvas where the ordinary can effortlessly transform into the extraordinary. AI has given me the freedom to push artistic boundaries in ways I never imagined possible.

With over 13 years in marketing, what key changes have you observed in social media and community engagement, and how have you adapted your strategies over time?

One of the most significant changes I’ve observed is the shift from one-way, brandcentric messaging to community-driven, trust-based conversations. Social media has evolved from a simple broadcasting tool into a powerful space for authentic dialogue and relationship-building. Today’s audiences are far more discerning. They expect brands to be transparent, responsive, and purpose-driven. At Wirex, we’ve prioritized fostering genuine community engagement, particularly within the crypto space, where trust and education are paramount.

By listening to our users, integrating their feedback, and encouraging open conversation, we’ve built a loyal, engaged community. Additionally, the rise of datadriven insights and AI has transformed how we shape content, helping us personalize messaging while ensuring it aligns with our community’s values. Ultimately, building brand trust isn’t about polished messaging; it’s about showing up authentically, staying adaptable, and striking the right balance between creativity and analytics.

As someone passionate about both photography and AI, how do you envision the future of storytelling in digital content, and how do you personally approach merging technology with traditional forms of expression?

I think the future of storytelling lies in the seamless blend of technology and human emotion. AI will allow narratives to become more immersive, Think dynamic, personalized content where imagery, video, and interaction are all AI-driven but rooted in authentic human stories. Personally, I approach it by using AI as an extension of my creative toolkit. My foundation in photography and art teaches me about composition, light, and emotion, while AI helps me reinterpret those elements in fresh ways. It’s not about replacing traditional forms, it’s about enhancing them.

What do you think are the most significant advancements in artificial intelligence
over the next 10 years?

I believe the next decade will be defined by the evolution of human-centric AI, models that go beyond processing data, instead truly understanding context, emotion, and nuance. One of the most significant advancements will be the continued growth of generative AI, which I see expanding far beyond static visuals. We’re already witnessing its impact on art, media, and communication, but moving forward, generative AI will likely evolve into fully immersive, interactive worlds, virtual environments crafted from our own creative inputs. Imagine designing and stepping inside digital spaces where storytelling, brand experiences, entertainment, or even social interactions are dynamically shaped by AI, tailored entirely to the user’s vision or needs.

Additionally, industries like fashion, architecture, and entertainment will undergo transformation, as AI enables the rapid prototyping of virtual designs, experiences, and content without traditional limitations. However, as AI becomes more embedded in everyday life, one of the most critical advancements will be the development of strong ethical frameworks. It’s not just about how advanced the technology gets, but how responsibly and inclusively we shape it to serve humanity. The creative and technical potential is limitless, but ensuring it’s used meaningfully and ethically will be essential.

How do you see AI reshaping industries beyond technology, such as healthcare, education, or the arts?

AI is already reshaping industries far beyond traditional tech, and we’ve only scratched the surface. In healthcare, AI’s potential to improve patient outcomes is enormous, think predictive diagnostics, tailored treatment plans, or AI-assisted surgeries that reduce risk and increase precision. In education, AI can create highly personalized learning experiences, identifying students’ strengths and weaknesses and adapting content accordingly, making learning more accessible and effective worldwide.

In the arts, AI democratizes creativity. Artists and creators who may not have access to large budgets or tools can now experiment with music, design, and storytelling using AI platforms. It removes logistical barriers and expands the canvas, allowing anyone to bring imaginative concepts to life, faster and on a broader scale. Ultimately, AI doesn’t replace human touch in these industries, it amplifies it, giving professionals new ways to innovate and connect.

What emerging trends in AI development should professionals focus on to stay ahead in this field?

One of the most exciting trends I see emerging is the shift towards multimodal AI, which are models that can process and generate across different types of data simultaneously, like text, images, video, and audio. This convergence opens up incredible opportunities, especially in creative fields where storytelling can span several mediums seamlessly. Another key area is AI accessibility, the development of no-code or low-code AI tools that empower non-technical users to harness AI’s potential, which we are seeing in abundance over the past 2 years.

Additionally, responsible and explainable AI is something every professional should pay attention to. As AI becomes more embedded in our daily lives, understanding how decisions are made and ensuring ethical considerations are baked in from the start will be critical. Those who can balance technical expertise with ethical foresight will truly stand out.

What foundational knowledge or programming languages do you recommend beginners prioritize to succeed in AI?

For anyone looking to build AI systems or dive deeper into development, it might be good to look into Python. It’s beginner-friendly yet powerful, and has become one of the go-to languages for AI and machine learning, with countless libraries and frameworks available. In fact, I’ve just recently started a course in Python myself, to expand my technical knowledge.

However, if you’re approaching AI from a creative application perspective, whether it’s generating visuals, music, or interactive content, you don’t need to be a programmer to get started. There are so many platforms now designed for creators, like DALL·E, Midjourney, Klingai, Runway, and others, where you can start experimenting right away without any coding background.

No matter which route you take, it’s really about staying curious, being open to continuous learning, and understanding how to apply AI meaningfully, whether that’s through building it or creatively using it.

What are the key challenges or misconceptions beginners face when entering the AI industry, and how can they overcome them?

One common misconception is that AI is an exclusive, highly technical field limited to data scientists and coders. In reality, AI has room for a wide range of skills, whether that’s design thinking, ethics, communication, or creativity. Another challenge is the belief that AI is “one-size-fits-all.” Beginners often overlook how important domain knowledge and critical thinking are when applying AI solutions. My advice? Start small and focused. Choose one area of interest; whether it’s healthcare, marketing, or creative arts, and learn how AI is applied there. Surround yourself with communities and resources, and don’t be afraid to combine soft skills with technical learning. The most impactful AI professionals are often those who think across disciplines.
