International Background
Born in New York, Caroline Von Krockow moved to Germany, where she started her education in Neuss, Frankfurt and Holzminden. After obtaining the equivalent of her A-levels, she moved to Madrid for a year to study Spanish history, art history and literature at the Complutense University of Madrid.
This education enabled her to gain knowledge and follow her bachelor’s degree in history at King’s College London, followed by her master’s degree at the London School of Economics and the College of Law, to finally conclude her studies in law at Assas in Paris.
These education degrees have been completed by work experiences worldwide. In contact with words since always, Caroline Von Krockow worked as a journalist for artnet.com in New York before being trained to be a UK solicitor and working for an International Law Firm.
Inspiration
The international environment the author has always been immersed in as well as the numerous diverse landscapes she experienced, dived her into an inspiring atmosphere. “It was in Paris where I found the inspiration to start writing my first novel about the Belle Epoque; an extraordinary adventure which allowed me to delve into the rich Parisian history and art”.
She successfully completed courses at the Cedar Crest College low-residency MFA in creative writing, which enabled her to finalise her very first novel “The White Rose”, bought be Prisma Editions and published in March 2020.
