Antonio Milioti, a young Sicilian entrepreneur and event founder, has created an innovative format that has brought contemporary artists and internationally renowned DJs to breathtaking locations far from the classic tourist circuits. While most music festivals are held in urban centres, stadiums, or generic open fields, Maravigghia Sicily is set in the ancient Selinunte Archaeological Park, one of the most significant Greek archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. The park’s ancient ruins, including temples and other historic structures, provide a stunning and unique backdrop that transports attendees back in time while celebrating contemporary music and culture. The natural beauty of the Sicilian landscape, with its serene beaches and panoramic sea views, adds to the festival’s allure.

During the pandemic, visionary Antonio Milioti conceptualized a festival that would merge music, culture, and Sicily’s breathtaking natural beauty. Thus, “Maravigghia Sicily” was born. This vibrant event has become a haven for international crowds seeking unique and immersive experiences, making it an unmissable annual event.

Star-Studded DJ Lineup

One of the festival’s main draws is its carefully curated lineup of electronic music DJs and artists, from renowned international names such as Guy Gerber, Francis Mercier, Giolì and Assia, and Chris IDH to emerging talents such as Marco Dili, Pistacho, and others.
Dancing under the full moon facing the Temple of Selinunte, the music created a euphoric and unifying atmosphere where the attendees enjoyed live instruments with electronic beats, and every performance was a highlight, showcasing their innovative sounds and adding a layer of sophistication to the festival’s music and lineup.

Culinary Delights and Breathtaking Views

Attendees were treated to a culinary journey, enjoying local Sicilian specialities in settings that were nothing short of spectacular. Whether dining in front of the Temple of Selinunte or with a sea view, the festival collaborates with local food vendors and chefs to ensure the culinary offerings are as diverse and satisfying as the music lineup.

Artistic Installations and Performances

Art and culture were at the heart of Maravigghia Sicily: Video Mapping by Dario Denso Andriolo: The artist illuminated the columns of the Temple of Hera with references to Sicilian culture and avant-garde designs, accompanied by the music of international DJs. This mesmerizing display was a visual feast, adding a dynamic element to the festival.
Performances by Acrobats, Dancers, and Horses: These performances added a captivating and dynamic element to the festival, enhancing the overall experience with well-organized and scheduled events. Beyond its entertainment value, Maravigghia also contributes to Sicilia’s cultural tapestry. By hosting the event in different iconic locations throughout the city, the festival showcases the best spots on the Island while fostering a sense of community among attendees.
