Antonio Milioti, a young Sicilian entrepreneur and event founder, has created an innovative format that has brought contemporary artists and internationally renowned DJs to breathtaking locations far from the classic tourist circuits. While most music festivals are held in urban centres, stadiums, or generic open fields, Maravigghia Sicily is set in the ancient Selinunte Archaeological Park, one of the most significant Greek archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. The park’s ancient ruins, including temples and other historic structures, provide a stunning and unique backdrop that transports attendees back in time while celebrating contemporary music and culture. Dancing under the full moon facing the Temple of Selinunte, the music created a euphoric and unifying atmosphere where the attendees enjoyed live instruments with electronic beats, and every performance was a highlight, showcasing their innovative sounds and adding a layer of sophistication to the festival’s music and lineup.
