After two years, the exclusive Met Gala in New York took place again on Monday, May 2, 2022. Here are some outfits from talented designers.
The major fashion event, the Met Gala, is a benefit gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and is a tradition dating back to 1948. Each year celebrities show up with their outfits, with the theme in 2022 being Gilded Glamour.
The dress code refers to the Gilded Age in New York, a period in history with economic growth due to industrialization and the construction of railroads. The fashion was luxurious; there were large hats and jewelry, corsets and decorated and embroidered jackets. To what extent did the male celebrities embody the theme at the 2022 Met Gala? Not like last year, when the 2021 theme was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” and the American fashion outfits were not very unified. We think this year’s is already successful:
The Belgian Stromae featured a selection of Cartier jewelry: the Vintage Lace Ribbon brooch, the Tank Louis Cartier watch, the Cartier Maillon Panthère ring, Panthère de Cartier ring, Trinity de Cartier ring and Double C de Cartier cufflinks.
