L’Officiel Monaco is proud to present an exclusive interview with Ukrainian model Diana Nikitiuk — a woman who doesn’t just walk European runways, but creates her own fashion universes.
Her appearances this year at Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week became a true breakthrough. Diana opened four shows in both fashion capitals — an exceptional achievement for any model. Her collaborations with leading international brands further emphasize her professionalism and global demand.
A recent photoshoot for L’Officiel Monaco became yet another testament to her uniqueness. It was a bold experiment that went beyond traditional fashion photography, transforming into a true work of art. The project required the team to completely rethink their approach to styling and demanded the highest level of professionalism. Diana embodied roles of a delicate aristocrat, a mysterious femme fatale, and a modern muse of haute couture. Each look told its own story, striking a fine balance between theatricality and refinement. The result — a series of images from Paris that captivate with emotional depth and visual perfection.
Diana, this photoshoot was quite a challenge. How did you prepare for such a radical transformation?
Honestly, it was one of the most difficult and most exciting projects of my career. During the early days of preparation, the team had many doubts: should we really take such risks with contrasts, and would we be able to strike the right balance between fashion and art? But that was the point — to step outside the usual and create something truly unique. I fully immersed myself in the roles, lived through their stories. Some movements were carefully thought out, while others were pure improvisation. Each frame felt like a scene from its own narrative.
How did you manage to find the balance between sensuality, strength, and expression in the shoot?
It was fascinating — everything happened intuitively, based on feelings. Such contrasts inspire me. For example, the white gown combined with Parisian architecture created a sense of lightness and aristocratic elegance. At the same time, the all-black look with a flowing cape embodied power and drama. I wanted to convey a wide range of emotions and show that a woman can be everything at once — gentle, commanding, mysterious, passionate.
This shoot was a true experiment. Was it easy to go through such a transformation?
It was a completely new experience for me. We spent a lot of time discussing the concept with the team, and there were many questions about whether we could translate the vision accurately. Some looks felt radical and unusual, but I sensed they could reveal new dimensions of my personality. In the end, we took the risk — and the result exceeded all expectations! So yes — thanks to my team, the transformation felt both comfortable and inspiring.
Were there moments when the shoot could have taken a completely different turn?
Oh yes! For example, the moment with the black cape — it was pure improvisation. Initially, we were going to shoot it statically, symbolizing protection. But then a gust of wind lifted the fabric, and we realized we had captured the perfect sense of motion. That’s when you understand: magic happens when you allow yourself to experiment.
