Armenian fashion is experiencing a quiet yet powerful revolution. With its centuries-long tradition and heritage as the base, it´s being made more contemporary and international by a new generation of creative entrepreneurs and designers dedicated to reflecting Armenia in the world.

A glimpse inside Rien-à-Porter – Armenia’s premier lifestyle destination.
Take the case of Maison Marom, an international lifestyle group of companies that unites ventures across fashion, beauty, gastronomy, and culture under one roof. Mareta Gevorkyan and Olga Medelyan started Maison Marom based on a simple yet strong idea. They believe that business can be a cultural heritage by itself.
Born in Dilijan, set against the green Caucasus Mountains of Armenia, Mareta Gevorkyan has never known design as anything other than a way of life. Far from emulating world trends, Maison Marom prefers to be its own thing, showing the world the creative soul of Armenia in simple, honest terms.
This philosophy is evident in every product of Maison Marom, where functionality and creativity exist in perfect synchrony.

Armenian entrepreneur and cultural strategist Mareta Gevorkyan is devoted to presenting Armenian fashion on the global stage with integrity, authenticity, and reverence for its heritage.
Among Maison Marom’s most innovative projects is Rien-à-Porter, Armenia’s first lifestyle space, where international and local brands intersect, offering visitors an experience defined by care, quality, and attention to detail.
With its tastefully crafted e-commerce platform, Rien-à-Porter takes this project beyond Yerevan, showcasing Armenian talent to the world.
Designers such as Hayk Ananyan (Ananyan), Narek Jhangirian (Jhangirian), Nensi Avetisian, Liana Tashchyan (Tashchyan), Varduhi Torozyan (Jocund), and Nelly Tadevosyan (Demiurge) are some of the creatives that Rien-à-Porter advocates for. They are designers whose practice is full of cultural memory and modern significance.
As Mareta Gevorkyan describes, “Armenian designers don’t just design clothes; they recount stories of survival, celebration, and selfhood. Our role is to provide them with a platform that respects that richness and authenticity.”
By providing prime billing simultaneously to both local designers and overseas brands, Rien-à-Porter places Armenian fashion on the pedestal it deserves.
Another flagship is Maróm, a Paris fashion brand grounded in Armenian capability and European innovative imagination. The initiative brings French fashion designers together with Armenian historians, artists, and local specialists to design collections that reinterpret tradition with a modern edge.

Mareta Gevorkyan celebrates a distinguished creative union with renowned designer Alena Konnova, the visionary behind the bridal couture house THE MOMENT OF WHITE.
Maróm speaks to heritage in a tone of wonder and inquiry. Every piece is an intersection of the global and the local, the contemporary and the ancient.
Mareta Gevorkyan also embraces opportunities for independent partnerships. One such partnership is The MOMENT OF WHITE with revered fashion designer Alena Konnova. Her bridal and couture atelier celebrates the elegance of minimalism and bespoke tailoring as an art form in its most unadulterated form, each attire bearing the handiwork of its artist.
Konnova’s experience is a demonstration of that which Mareta Gevorkyan calls The Residency Principle. It is the belief that actual change is born of living and working within an environment. Five years ago, Konnova traveled to Armenia and knew she needed to stay.
“In Armenia, I learned that I was strong enough to attempt the impossible,” she says. “That if you have faith that you want it, you can do it.”
With all these creative projects, be it Maison Marom, Rien-à-Porter, Maróm, and The MOMENT OF WHITE, there is one stitch which is common to all of them.
Armenian fashion is not exported but enjoyed from within. With each project, there is a new philosophy of dealing with the country´s heritage in an innovative manner, yet based on longstanding roots.
It is through collaboration, storytelling, and cultural dialogue that Armenian fashion slowly finds its place in the world – not as a fad, but as an ageless form of self-expression.
