Idle carelessness is at the top of J’amemme’s summer post-pandemic wish list. It describes the Resort’21 collection’s mood perfectly.
The brand’s designer Yulia Yarmolyuk incorporates atmospheric paintings by French artist Paul Signac both literally and figuratively into her collection. The landscapes of Saint-Tropez and Cassis manifest not only in a color palette, but also in a lookbook`s background.
Resort’21 capsule is made of universal go-to looks that easily meet any needs of the holiday season. The colour palette is represented by muted shades of blue, white, mocha, with a few bright splashes of pink and yellow.
The collection includes shirts, overalls, crop tops, and shorts made from natural fibres – cotton and biodegradable linen.
“I think in some way linen is underrated,” Yulia points out. – Being highly breathable and organically produced fibre, it gives the outfits informality and lightness. It’s demi-couture material, so this season we even managed to create a linen evening dress!”
If summer catches you in the city, the plan is apparent: choose crisp Italian cotton oversized shirts, soft linen single-breasted jackets and suits with cropped blazers.
J`amemme’s signature pleats are embodied in a bright yellow dress with organza puff sleeves. Each pleat is crafted by hand, which equates to couture art.
The accessory line contains giant asymmetrical hats to shield your face in style if you forget to apply your SPF.
Alongside the more practical pieces, like ‘just the right size to carry beach essentials’ baguette bag, there is a twilly scarf to add some crafty touches to the linen suit look.
