The red carpet of the Venice Film Festival transforms itself into a high fashion catwalk every year, thanks to the stunning looks of the movie stars.
The 2024 Venice Film Festival kicks off today, August 28, with the sequel to Tim Burton ‘s cult film “Beetlejuice,” which will officially open the 81st edition of the Venice Film Festival. The director will be on the Lido with the entire cast: Jenna Ortega , Winona Ryder , Monica Bellucci , and Willem Dafoe will make their (highly anticipated) appearance on the red carpet . On the same evening, the 2024 Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement will also be awarded to Sigourney Weaver . On August 29th it is the turn of “Maria” by Pablo Larraín, with Angelina Jolie in the role of Maria Callas, accompanied by Pierfrancesco Favino and Alba Rohrwacher . The next day, August 30th, the cover star of L’OFFICIEL Italia September 2024, Nicole Kidman , Harris Dickinson and Antonio Banderas raise the temperature of the Festival with the erotic thriller “Babygirl” .

On August 31, Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult present “The Order”, while Alessandro Borghi returns to the Lido with “Campo di battaglia”. On September 1, all attention is focused on the red carpet of “Wolfs” , with Brad Pitt and George Clooney . The following day, Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore accompany Pedro Almodóvar to the presentation of his first English-language film, “The Room Next Door”. Luca Guadagnino and Daniel Craig present the provocative “Queer” on September 3, followed on September 4 by “Joker: Folie à Deux” . After attending the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics, will Lady Gaga give us another fashion moment? On September 5, it’s the turn of “Iddu – L’ultimo padrino” with Elio Germano and Toni Servillo, in addition to the screening of the TV series “M. Il figlio del secolo” with Luca Marinelli .
The festival concludes on September 7 with the screening of Pupi Avati’s closing film, while Kevin Costner presents the second chapter of “Horizon: An American Saga”. The 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival ends with the presentation of the Golden Lion by Godmother Sveva Alviti in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema.
